Volunteers from the New York City Coalition Against Hunger were joined by Assemblyman Mike Miller in handing out information on nutrition programs at a Ridgewood supermarket during the “Moving Society Beyond the Soup Kitchen serv-a-thon” event last week. As noted, the event was held at the Food Bazaar Bogopa Store on Wyckoff Avenue, where Miller and volunteers distributed pamphlets and enrollment forms for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps.
