Seniors gathered at the Nativity BVM-St. Stan’s Senior Center in Ozone Park on Feb. 7 for a seminar sponsored by State Sen. Joseph Addabbo outlining changes to the state Department of Health’s Medicare Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) program. After being cut in previous state budgets, Addabbo noted, approximately $30.6 million in funding was restored on Jan. 1 to cover almost 300,000 EPIC enrollees. Shown with Addabbo at the lecture are Gema Davis of the state Department of Health and Joe Caruana, a member of the senior center.
