The next city budget and upcoming street fairs will be hot topics at the next meeting of Community Board 5 on Wednesday night, Feb. 13, in Middle Village.
As announced by District Manager Gary Giordano, the session will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Christ the King Regional High School, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave.
The agenda will begin with a public hearing regarding the city’s Fiscal Year 2014 preliminary budget as it pertains to communities within Board 5’s confines (Ridgewood, Glendale, Maspeth and Middle Village). Residents will have a chance to provide up to three minutes of verbal testimony during the hearing.
Following the hearing, the board will proceed with its regular agenda, which includes a vote on recommendations by Board 5’s Executive Committee for street festival applications for this year.
Also on the agenda are the public forum, a review of liquor licenses and demolition notices, reports by Chairperson Vincent Arcuri and District Manager Giordano and committee reports.
