Facing heavy smoke and flames, firefighters battled a two-alarm fire that engulfed a home in South Ozone Park on Monday afternoon, Feb. 11, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze broke out at 4:15 p.m. Monday inside a home in the area of 115th Avenue and 123rd Street. Responding to the fire (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 308, 303, 302, 294, 285 and 331; Ladder companies 126, 155, 142, 127 and 173; Squad Co. 270; Rescue 4; and Battalions 51, 50, 39 and 54-under the direction of Division 13-along with the 106th Precinct and EMS units. There were no injuries reported. Firefighters used three hose lines to bring the fire under control, an FDNY source said.
