Man stabbed to death in Richmond Hill: Cops
By Karen Frantz

A 30-year-old man died in Richmond Hill Wednesday afternoon after he was attacked by a group of men and stabbed, police said.

The man and a 17-year-old boy were walking down Jamaica Avenue near the corner of 126th Street at about 3:30 p.m. when the group attacked, police said. The man was stabbed in the back and the teen was hit in the shoulder with a rock, cops said.

The 30-year-old was rushed to Jamaica Hospital but was pronounced dead, while the 17-year-old refused medical attention, police said.

A manager at Gourmet Deli near where the man was stabbed said both victims came into his store.

“When he came in, I called the ambulance. That’s it,” said Ali Ahmed, the manager.

He said the teen waited with the older man and went with him in the ambulance when it arrived.

Police did not identify the man who died and said there were no arrests. The investigation was ongoing, they said.
