Police have arrested a truck driver who took off after fatally striking a woman in Jamaica early Saturday morning.
Carl Alvear, 34, of Maspeth, has been charged with manslaughter, cops said Sunday.
The incident happened around 4:50 a.m. on the northbound side of the Van Wyck Expressway, according to authorities.
The victim, who police identified Sunday as 31-year-old Queens resident Latrisha Been, was taken to Jamaica Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
