Far Rock man shot to death in the Bronx

FAR ROCKAWAY — A 27 year-old was gunned down in the Mt. Hope section of the Bronx last month, and police are looking for his killers.

Police responding to a 911 call of gunshots found 27-year-old Lavon Latimer, of McBride Street, around 11:30 p.m. July 12 with several bullet wounds.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The NYPD has released photos of three people wanted for questioning in connection to Latimer’s murder, and asked any with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers Website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
