A Laurelton teenager was gunned down in Brooklyn just a few hours into the new year, police said.
Malik Bhola, 17, was standing outside the Borinquen Memorial Funeral Home on Bushwick Avenue near Pilling Street when shots rang out just before 3 a.m. Jan. 1, police said.
Bhola was hit in the chest and taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Authorities said they were investigating the murder, which was the second in the city in 2014. The first homicide occurred in south Jamaica.
