Maspeth residents got a close glimpse of a red-tailed hawk outside Maspeth Federal Savings bank’s main branch on 69th Street off Grand Avenue on Monday morning, Jan. 27. The large hawks can be seen yearround across New York City and have been known to frequent Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village. According to hawk-eyed sources, the raptor was spotted eating lunch at around the time this photo was taken.
