Photo Gallery Snowstorm Means Sledding In Middle Village By QNS Editorial Posted on January 9, 2014 Sign up for our QNS email newsletter to get news, updates, and local insights delivered straight to your inbox! Keeping on a postsnowstorm tradition, families ventured out of their homes and headed to Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village last Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4, and had some fun sledding down the slope near the Juniper North Playground. Despite frigid temperatures, many came out to enjoy a speedy, ice surface created by the more than 10 inches of snow that fell across the area between Jan. 2-3. The Parks Department officially declared last Saturday a “Snow Day,” and members of the agency were on hand to provide free music and hot chocolate to warm up everyone.
