Assemblyman Mike Miller announced he is sponsoring a “Valentines for Veterans Drive,” which aims to send care packages to hospitalized veterans in Queens.
Members of the public are encouraged to donate gretting cards, candy, sugar-free snacks, toiletries and new clothing items. Items are being collected at Miller’s Woodhaven office, located at 83-91 Woodhaven Blvd.
Donations are being accepted through Wednesday, Feb. 12. Items provided by members of the public will be distributed on Valentine’s Day during visits to the St. Albans VA Hospital and the New York State Veterans Nursing Home.
