Head-on crash in Rosedale sends two drivers to the hospital: Police
By Sarina Trangle

Two drivers were rushed to Jamaica Hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision in Rosedale Friday night, police said.

The FDNY said emergency responders were called at 9:18 p.m. to the scene of the crash near Rockaway and Brookville boulevards, where responders extracted two people from the wreckage.

Police said the drivers — one a 44-year-old woman and the other a 29-year-old man — were taken to the hospital, where the woman was listed as likely to survive, but the man was not. The FDNY said at least one victim was unconscious when first responders arrived.

The NYPD listed the accident site as 149th Avenue and Brookville Boulevard, and the section of Brookville Boulevard between 149th Avenue and Rockaway Boulevard — the address listed by the Fire Department — is known as Snake Road for its trecherous turns through tall marshland.
