Man arrested in attack on teen in stolen SUV: Police

SOUTH JAMAICA — Cops arrested a man last week who they said allegedly stole a car and then tried to sexually assault the teenage girl who had fallen asleep in the back seat.

Police said a man called 911 around 6 p.m. Jan. 23 and said his 2002 Ford Explorer, in which his 13-year-old niece was sleeping, was stolen.

The NYPD broadcast a description of the SUV, and when they found it a few blocks away officers arrested 23-year-old Kapri Dickson on charges of grand larceny and sexually attacking a minor, the Police Department said.

According to the investigation, Dickson allegedly tried to force himself on the girl in the back seat, but then threw her out of the car when she started to yell and struggle, the NYPD said.

The young girl was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police added.
