Recognizing Achievements at Park Fund-raiser

A former borough president and a current executive at St. John’s University were honored during the Queens Center for Progress “Evening of Fine Food” event last Tuesday night, Jan. 28, at Terrace on the Park in Corona. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz (second from left) was among those who feted former Queens Borough President Claire Shulman (at left) and St. John’s University Vice President of Community Relations Joseph Sciame (second from right) for their various achievements. They are pictured with Charles Houston, executive director of the Queens Center for Progress, which provides an array of services to people with developmental disabilities.
