Firefighters rushed to a Ridgewood apartment house on Sunday, Feb. 16, to extinguish a one-alarm fire, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the blaze broke out at about noon in the vicinity of Putnam and Fairview avenues. Multiple Fire Department units responded to the blaze along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. One hose line was used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
