Ridgewood Bank Offers Seminars

Ridgewood Savings Bank announced that it will again be hosting homebuyers’ workshops and financial education seminars at select branch locations from April through June.

Both the workshops and seminars, which are free and open to the public, have been designed to address today’s most important financial concerns.

At the homebuyers’ workshops, bank representatives, mortgage consultants and a licensed architect will take participants through the home buying process-including initial decision making cost analysis, criteria for selecting the right home, and the “do’s and don’ts” of filing mortgage applications.

The financial education seminars will explain how to start and manage checking and savings accounts for emergencies, financial goals, and retirement, among other topics.

In Queens, the first-time homebuyers’ workshops will be held on the following dates:

– Tuesday, Apr. 8, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Main office located at 71-02 Forest Ave. in Ridgewood (phone 1-718-240-4800);

– Tuesday, Apr. 22, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Astoria branch located at 43-14 Ditmars Blvd. (phone 1-718-274-5400); and

– Tuesday, June 3, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. at the Elmhurst branch located at 74-25 Grand Ave. (phone 1-718-457-4200).

The Queens financial education seminar will take place at the Astoria branch on Wednesday, May 14, from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.

Additional homebuyers’ workshops and financial education seminars will be held this fall.
