Cops hold man in robbery string: 104th Precinct

By Sarina Trangle

RIDGEWOOD — The 104th Precinct said Wednesday that police had detained an individual believed to be connected with several armed robberies last week, but that the man had not yet been charged with any crimes.

The precinct said it anticipated arresting the man, who was believed to be wanted in most of last week’s robberies.

The 104th Precinct previously warned the community that several women reported being the targets of knifepoint robberies over the past month.

Police believed two men followed the victims down the street and displayed weapons that resembled kitchen knives.

Nobody was injured in the seven reported robberies, police said.
