Police Officers Christopher Musa and Christopher Sanchez were honored by the 110th Precinct Council Monday night, Mar. 17, in Corona. They were awarded with plaques donated by the Times Newsweekly for arresting a bank robber after he ripped off a chase branch on Queens Boulevard. The officers reportedly spotted the bank robber on the street when he was trying to escape with $27,000 in stolen money and quickly made the arrest. Musa (third from right) and Sanchez (second from right) were presented with plaques by Deputy Inspector Ronald Leyson (at right), 110th Precinct commanding officer, and Evelyn DeCoursey (fourth from right), precinct council president. They are pictured with other precinct council members, including Al Perna, Lula Brown, Joseph DiMartino and Carol Huesbo.
