Pulls Out Victory Over Rosario Construction

Last Saturday, Apr. 19, Haller and Haller of the Ridgewood Glendale Middle Village Maspeth (RGMVM) minor division improved its record to 4-0 with a tough 8-5 win over Rosario Construction who was also undefeated entering the contest.

In the top of the third, with two outs and no one on base, Ryan Regan singled and then stole second, third and home to give Haller a 5-3 lead. After Rosario Construction closed the gap by adding a run in the bottom of the frame, Haller added three runs in the top of the fourth.

In the fourth, Macio lead off with his second walk of the game. He was moved along the bases by a fielder’s choice off the bat of Nicholas Audelo.

After Macio, Pennolino and Dzaferovic crossed the plate, Szala was caught at home when he attempted to stretch the bases after LaBarbara added his second hit of the game.

Rosario Construction added a single run in the bottom of the fourth, to bring the score to 8-5. Both teams went quietly in the fifth and Haller earned its fourth win, 8-5. Haller and Haller will face off with D&A Kitchens in their next game.
