The Bayside Village Business Improvement District launched its Thursday Nights Out campaign last week aimed at promoting businesses in the neighborhood by extending their hours during the summer months.
Every Thursday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, participating retailers will extend their hours to 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. to encourage restaurant and bar patrons to shop while in the area.
The BID will also begin hosting musical performances at the Long Island Rail Road station on 41st Avenue later this summer.
