Golfing for Causes In Whitestone

The Circolo Santa Margherita Belice organization recently held its ninth annual golf outing in honor of the Holy Crucifix at the Clearview Park Golf Course in Whitestone. In past years the golf outing has raised funds for charities such as Juvenile Diabetes, Cooleys Anemia, St. Matthias Educational Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and for local community causes such as the Serrano Warriors and the Callahan Family. Pictured are members at the event. Santa Margherita Belice is a town in Sicily. Over 100 years ago many Italians immigrated to the U.S. from there and started the organization.
