Fraternity Holds Recognition ‘knight’ at Glendale School

Faithful members of the Knights of Columbus and local churches were honored during the Msgr. Sherman Knights of Columbus Chapter recognition night last Tuesday, June 24, at Sacred Heart School in Glendale. During the ceremony, William Kuill received the Grand Knight Award, while Joseph Strohmeier was recognized as Knight of the Year. Seven individuals were honored for 50 years of service to the Knights of Columbus: Rev. Donald Berran, Robert Boger, Ernest Furone, Martin McAleer, John Rice, Joseph Van Schaick and Robert Warburton. A special award was also given to Msgr. Anthony Sherman, a relative of the chapter’s late patriarch. The honorees and knights are pictured above.
