An Uncontested DIY Divorce Program will be inaugurated on July 17, the Queens County Supreme Court announced.
The program will give the public access to a free online program where they can fill out divorce papers.
The DIY service was spearheaded by Judge Fern Fisher, who calls the gratis program “meaningful access to justice for all.”
The DIY program can be accessed via the New York State Courts website. For those without computers, a public space with court-provided computers has been set aside for the program, which will be located on the second floor of the Queens County Supreme Court building at 88-11 Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica.
There will be an opening ceremony on July 17 at 2 p.m. at Queens Supreme Courthouse, courtroom 23.
