SOUTH RICHMOND HILL — Police were searching for a man wanted in an attack and attempted robbery that sent a senior in South Richmond Hill to the hospital Aug. 6, the NYPD said.
The Police Department said a 65-year-old woman near the corner of 130th Street and 109th Avenue was pushed from behind as a man allegedly tried to grab her purse.
She fell, hitting her head on the sidewalk, and was brought to a local hospital for medical care, police said.
The NYPD said the man ran off before taking her bag.
Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-5 man with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing white sneakers and blue jeans, cops said.
