Borough’s police precincts plan National Night Out events

The NYPD is gearing up for its annual National Night Out, set to take place Tuesday, Aug. 5.

Each of the precincts across Queens have planned activities for children and their families and will welcome the public to join them at locations throughout Queens. Here is a listing

of the ones made available to TimesLedger.

102nd Precinct

When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Buddy Memorial Monument, Park Lane South and Myrtle Avenue

Activities will include food and music

103 Precinct

When: 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Where: Rufus King Park, at Jamaica Avenue between 150 and 53 streets

Activities include a barbecue, marching bands, a rock wall and a karate exhibition, among others.

104th Precinct

When: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Joseph Mafera Park, 65th Place and Catalpa Avenue

Activities will include free rides for children, community vendors, health screenings, public safety information and food and beverages.

105 Precinct

When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Cabell Park, 121 Avenue and Francis Lewis Boulevard

Activities include a big barbecue, a funbus, music, inflatable bouncies, crime prevention information, and more.

106th Precinct

When: 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Where: Police Officer Edward Byrne Park, North Conduit Avenue and 134th Street

Activities will include refreshments, children’s entertainment and a crime prevention program.

107th Precinct

When: 5 to 9 p.m.

Where: Electchester Shopping Center, 70-63 Parsons Blvd.

Activities will include food, ice cream and giveaways at the end of the night, as well as a walk with flash lights.

108th Preinct

When: 5 to 8 p.m.

Where: John Andrews Playground, 50th Avenue, Long Island City

Activities will include food, DJ, a bounce house and meet-and-greets with local officials.

109th Precinct

When: 5 to 9 p.m.

Where: PS 20, 143-20 Barclay Ave.

Activities will include bouncy castles, pony rides, face painting, clowns and meet-and-greets with local officials.

110th Precinct

When: 5 to 8 p.m.

Where: Flushing Meadows Corona Park near the Queens Zoo

Activities will include a petting zoo, DJ, carousel rides and a softball match of NYPD officers vs. Queens Center Mall security guards.

111th Precinct

When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Douglaston Shopping Plaza, 242-02 61st Ave., Douglaston

Activities will include refreshments, free Italian ice, a clown, a DJ, VIN-etching for vehicles and meet-and-greets with local officers and elected officials.

112th Precinct

When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: MacDonald Park, Queens and Yellowstone boulevards

Rain Location: Forest Hills Jewish Center, 106-06 Queens Blvd.

Activities will include barbecue, music and safety demonstrations and information.

113th Precinct

When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Where: Baisley Pond Park, Sutphin and Baisley boulevards

Activities include bouncy castles, family games.

114th Precinct

When: 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Shore Boulevard between Ditmars Avenue and Astoria Park South

Activities will include horse rides, BBQ and a dunk-the-cop booth.

115th Precinct

When: 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Astoria Park

Activities will include a NYPD officers and children’s baseball game, information from local organizations and an appearance from Miss Mets.
