EMS rush Middle Village drowning victim to hospital: FDNY

MIDDLE VILLAGE — A man was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in cardiac arrest Thursday evening after struggling to stay afloat in a private pool in Middle Village, the FDNY said.

The Fire Department said paramedics were called to a home on 74th Street near Juniper Valley Road at 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was brought to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, the FDNY said.

The FDNY said paramedics found him in cardiac arrest.
