The NYPD is looking for a suspect wanted for the attempted robbery of a 65-year-old woman.
On Wednesday, Aug.6 at about 2:10 p.m. the victim was on the corner of 130th Street and 109th Avenue when she was pushed from behind by the suspect as he tried to grab her purse, police said. This caused her to fall to the ground and hit her head on the sidewalk. The suspect then fled the scene.
The victim sustained swelling and bruising to her head and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to cops.
Police released photos of the suspect who they describe as a man with brown eyes, short black hair and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing white sneakers and blue jeans.
