Six shot in three incidents across boro: NYPD

By Sarina Trangle

Across the borough six people were shot in three separate incidents this weekend, the NYPD said.

Officers were first called to an East Elmhurst address where four men had been shot Friday around 9:50 p.m.

The NYPD said it is investigating the flurry of bullets allegedly fired by two men in black hooded sweatshirts and bandannas on their faces.

The four victims were taken to Elmhurst Hospital, two with gunshot wounds to the back, one with injuries from where a bullet grazed his arm and another who was shot in the face, according to the NYPD.

The father of two of the victims said his sons and their two friends will be OK.

About an hour later, officers were called to the other side of the borough in Edgmere where police said a bullet grazed a woman’s head around 10:46 p.m.

The NYPD said she was walking down Beach 54th Street when she heard gun shots and started running. She later realized her head was bleeding.

Police said she was brought to Jamaica Hospital with minor injuries.

Then at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, police said a 28-year-old man was shot in the torso outside a South Richmond Hill Lounge, on Liberty Avenue near 123rd Street.

The NYPD said two groups got into a dispute inside the club and some people were kicked out.

Some of them were hanging out in front of the venue, when a man drove up and fired at the victim, according to police.

Officers said it was not clear if he was the intended victim.

Cops said the suspect, a white male, drove west on Liberty Avenue.

The victim was brought to Jamaica Hospital in critical, but stable condition.
