Forest Park Drive rarely sees the kind of traffic jam it had on Sunday morning, Sept. 28, as drivers lined up to drop off items during the bi-annual Recycling Day event at the Forest Park Bandshell. Co-sponsored by State Sen. Joseph Addabbo and Assemblyman Mike Miller, the event allowed residents to deposit items including electronics, clothing, carpet and books for reuse. Previously Recycling Days that the lawmakers held in Forest Park removed thousands of pounds of garbage from the city’s waste stream.
