Dog lovers dressed their canines to the nines for the first-ever Halloween dog costume contest held during Community Pet Day at Bushwick’s Irving Square Park last Saturday, Oct. 18. Sponsored in part by City Council Member Rafael Espinal and the Coalition to Build and Maintain a Dog Park at Irving Square, the festivites also included a blessing of the pets, free exams and vaccinations, a pet photo booth and obedience training. Espinal and other pet owners are pictured above.
