I.S. 93 in Ridgewood recently participated in an event organized by Guidance Counselor Debby Hartz, that gives free daffodil bulbs for planting in green spaces in memory of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The school reached out to 104th Precinct Det. Thomas Bell to plant the bulbs in front of the precinct to show their appreciation for all the hard work they do to protect us and our community. Bell and the police officers allowed the students to ask all of their questions and explained that the officers do a lot more than just arrest those who break the law.
