Queensboro UNICO, a Queens based Italian American Service Organization, held a Cigar Night on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Giando on the Water in Brooklyn, and raised over $10,000 to complete their efforts to provide an All-Terrain Vehicle for a veteran, who is back home after serving overseas. The attendees were all given a tote bag of cigars and magazines in addition to a gourmet dinner. Over 150 business people, from Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey gathered for the event. Over 30 restaurants, individuals and other merchants, mostly from Brooklyn and Queens, donated gift certificates, baskets and other goods and services to make the raffles. Nationally known Cigar Companies also contributed to the many prizes raffled off that night.
