The Court Square building boom shows no signs of abating.

The number of building permits filed with the Department of Buildings for large-scale residential buildings continues to get grow.

The latest filing is for a 15-story, 88 unit-residential building at 27-01 Jackson Avenue located near Rockrose’s planned 50 story tower.

The 27-01 Jackson Avenue site is currently a gas station.

Albert Shirian, the owner of the Jackson Avenue building, expects the permits to be approved within six weeks and for the ground to be broken within six months, according to reports.

Meanwhile, building permits have been filed for a 27-story building with 165 units at 44-12 Purves Street (27-19 44th Drive). The 44th Drive end of the site was home to a recently-closed auto repair shop.

That building will be across the street from 44-41 Purves Street, a 25-story, 284 unit building expected to be completed in 2017.

Meanwhile, permits were filed in December for the demolition of 44-46 Purves Street, a sited tucked in the far end of the street.
