Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a Far Rockaway man who was shot dead on Tuesday morning.
The victim, 38-year-old Leon Brown, was found with a gunshot wound to the torso at Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 81st Street just after 8 a.m., according to police. He was taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to published reports, Brown was operating a livery van when he got into an argument and was shot by a driver in another van. Brown was not a licensed livery driver, reports said.
Police arrested Fabian Sullivan on Wednesday in connection to Brown’s killing. He has been charged with second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
