Bill Popp and The Tapes will be performing at the Whitepoint Shopping Center in College Point in front of Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices and Ice Cream in College Point Wednesday night.
The band will be performing chart-busting songs from the 1960s as well as some of their own songs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the center, located on 132nd Street and 14th Avenue.
“I think they got the word we’ve done concerts at the Poppenhusen, the outside summer series, and we worked for them quite a few years and maybe they were looking for acts,” said Popp, who does vocals and plays the keyboard for the band.
