Bareburger’s hotly anticipated offshoot Burnside Biscuits is slated for a grand opening on July 20, after a soft open this coming Monday, according to the team.
Burnside Biscuits is a new concept from Bareburger, focused on southern-style biscuits and fried chicken.
Between the July 13 soft open and the grand opening, only dinner will be served, operations manager Thomas Sardo said.
According to Sardo, the menu is still being finalized, but will include crispy forest mushroom ragu, baked and crispy potatoes, blackened catfish and old-school fried chicken and biscuit sandwiches.
Burnside Biscuits is opening in the old Athens Café spot, located at 32-07 30th Ave.
“The space is great!” Sardo said in an email. “We have a beautiful open kitchen and a very comfortable space for guests to move about and not feel cramped.”
The restaurant is planning to have outdoor seating as well; its application for about 30 tables was approved by Community Board 1 in May.
