Police are looking for the thief who took a 57-year-old woman’s purse as she was heading up to her Flushing apartment Sunday night.
While the victim was walking up the stairs to her residence, located near Sanford Avenue and Bowne Street, at 10:40 p.m. the suspect — described as an Asian man — followed her from behind and asked her a question, authorities said. He then snatched the victim’s purse from her shoulder before fleeing.
The victim was not injured.
