The Queens County Farm Museum will be welcoming families to its most popular event of the year this weekend, the 33rd annual county fair in Floral Park.
The event will take place on Sept. 19 and 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Members can attend for free, but for the general public admission tickets are $9 per adult, and $5 for children ages 3 to 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Queens Farm, or online.
As part of the fair, the farm hosts traditional Blue Ribbon competitions in produce, livestock, arts and crafts, and baking. The fair will also have pie eating and corn husking contests, pig races, hayrides, carnival rides, midway games, and kids’ entertainment by jugglers, magicians and acrobats.
Any participant tagging social media pictures of the event with #QueensCountyFair will be entered to win a free hayride for two.
Additionally, families will be able to enjoy The Amazing Maize Maze, an annual corn maze opening for the season this weekend.
Free parking is available on site.
