Police from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica are investigating the death of a woman discovered in a bathtub early Saturday morning. Responding to a 911 call of a possible assault in progress, officers found a 28-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, in an apartment at 147-28 90th Ave., in Jamaica, according to the NYPD.
The woman had burns on her body, police say. EMS responded pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The woman’s identity is pending proper family notification and the investigation is ongoing.
