Cops looking for man who brutally beat girlfriend in Corona

Police are asking for help in finding a man who assaulted and left his girlfriend in critical condition last month.

On Nov. 29 at 4 a.m., officers from the 115th Precinct responded to a 911 call for a female assaulted at a 93rd Street location. There they found the 35-year-old woman with multiple injuries to her face and head. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she is in critical, but stable condition.

Following an investigation, authorities said, the NYPD identified her attacker as 29-year-old Tomas Rivera, who also goes by Jorge, and stands at 5 foot, 6 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the assault or Rivera’s whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
