Police looking for Bayside robbery suspect

BAYSIDE—A masked robber stole a pack of cigarettes and $40 in cash from the JJ Town Deli last Monday after pointing what was alleged to be a gun at the clerk, the NYPD said.

Police said the suspect entered the store on Francis Lewis Boulevard around 11 p.m. Jan. 18.

Police could not identify the person’s ethnicity or whether the suspect was a man or a woman, but said that the indivdiual was identified by the store clerk as being between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall and weighing about 250 pounds.

The suspect was wearing a black ski mask, black coat, brown pants and white gloves at the time of the robbery, police said.

In simulating a firearm, the suspect had a brown paper bag placed over one hand while demanding the cigarettes and money, according to the cops. After the person got what they wanted, they fled on foot, the NYPD said.
