Police seek robber in Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD—Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a man in his mid thirties in connection with a robbery in Ridgewood.

On Jan. 10 at around 9:45, the suspect approached a 70-year-old female victim in the vicinity of Centre Street and Cypress Avenue, police said. The suspect proceeded to punch the victim in the chest and removed her purse from her shoulder, police said.

The suspect was a black male, 30 to 35 years old, beetween 140lbs to 150lbs and around 5’8”.
