Doctors said that a man found lying unconscious on the street in Hunters Point Sunday night had been struck by a vehicle, according to the NYPD.
The 53-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive in the crosswalk at 21st Street and 49th Avenue, a police spokesperson said. He was transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition.
According to the spokesperson, doctors determined based on his injuries that the man had been struck by a vehicle.
The incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad. No arrests have been made.
The man remains in critical condition as of Monday morning.
