A man who was riding the 7 train was robbed of his cellphone Wednesday by a fellow passenger who pretended to have a gun, according to police.
The 20-year victim was approached by the suspect as the train was pulling into the Queensboro Plaza station at about 2:30 am on April 27.
The suspect approached the victim, pretended he had a gun and demanded the victim’s cellphone.
The victim complied and the thief fled the train at the Queensboro Plaza station.
A photo of the suspect was captured when he tried to access the stolen phone without the proper access code.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, mid 30s, 5’4” who was last seen wearing a blue waist length jacket and a dark colored baseball cap.
