They’ve done it again.

Police picked up eight more individuals on various charges in an undercover operation at massage parlors in Maspeth, Ridgewood and Rego Park on Friday, April 1.

Three of the arrests occurred at a spa located at 64-14 Fresh Pond Rd. in Ridgewood, while another was made at a massage parlor at 71-05 Grand Ave. in Maspeth. Two collars were made at each of two other locations: a spa at 57-03 71st St. in Maspeth and a parlor at 89-08 Eliot Ave. in Rego Park.

According to posts on the 104th Precinct Community Council and Maspeth 11378 Facebook pages, each of the arrested individuals were charged for prostitution and/or practicing massage therapy without a license.

Friday’s operation concentrated on locations near the borders of Ridgewood, Maspeth and Middle Village within the 104th Precinct area. The Rego Park location is just over the neighborhood’s border with Middle Village in the 112th Precinct’s confines.

104th Precinct commander Captain Mark Wachter took to Twitter to thank the NYPD Queens North Vice Enforcement Unit for their efforts. The unit has been quite busy rubbing out illegal activity at massage parlors across Queens in recent weeks, making dozens of arrests for sex sales and unlicensed practice.
