Suffolk County National Bank (SCNB) has announced the appointment of Melissa E. Green to the official position of vice president, commercial relationship manager working out of the bank’s commercial lending office in Long Island City.
Green has spent the last 35 years in middle market real estate and commercial lending for both national and regional commercial banks, consistently exceeding production goals. She was most recently associated with Berkshire Bank, where she held the position of vice president and senior lending officer. In addition to her extensive lending experience, Green has held a number of key positions including credit officer, underwriter and team leader.
In her new position at SCNB, Green will be responsible for new business development, with a focus on real estate and C&I lending in Queens and Brooklyn.
A resident of Manhattan, Green is a graduate of Vassar College, and received a master’s degree from New York University. She also completed Chemical Bank’s Credit Training Program, and holds a NYS Real Estate Broker’s License. Green is an adjunct professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, as well as a member of Women in Housing and Finance.
