‘The Jim Gaffigan Show’ is filming in Astoria today

Stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan has been popping up all over the city lately filming “The Jim Gaffigan Show.”

Today Astoria residents shouldn’t be surprised if they run into this hilarious dude at 31st through 33rd streets and Ditmars Avenue, because “The Jim Gaffigan Show” is scheduled for a shoot there, according to On Locations Vacations site.

Gaffigan’s comedy often revolves around fatherhood and food. “The Jim Gaffigan Show” is written and produced by Gaffigan and his wife Jeannie. The show features a fictionalized version of stand-up comedian Gaffigan who is raising five children in a two-bedroom New York City apartment. Eleven episodes of the first season ran in 2015, and the second season is scheduled to premiere on June 22, 2016.
