A 74-year old woman was punched in the head by an unknown man as she was walking down the stairs at the 65th Street Station in Woodside, according to police.
The police said that the woman was walking down the stairs at 5:15 pm on Sunday, May 1, when a man walking up the stairs “got in her face.”
The man thumped her once and then fled onto the street.
The victim was treated and released at Elmhurst General hospital.
The alleged perpetrator is described as black, approximately 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, last seen wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.
Surveillance video of the suspect was taken after the incident at the intersection of 69th Street and 38th Avenue is attached.
