Come pay your respects to the victims in the country’s worst mass shooting in history in Ridgewood this Thursday.

All Saints United American Catholic Church (UACC), located at 59-14 70th Ave., will host an interfaith vigil to commemorate the 49 victims of the Orlando shooting on Thursday, June 16, at 7 p.m.

All Saints Church is inviting people of all faith traditions to come together in search of peace and unity.

“In the wake of the horrific incidents that occurred recently in Orlando, there is no time for division based on creed or tradition,” said Father Mike Lopez, pastor. “We are calling on all men and women of God to stand together in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Orlando and around the world.”

Church leaders of various traditions, congregants from the New York City area, and the Ridgewood community will gather at All Saints Church as Father Lopez leads the vigil along with other local clergy.

Since its inception, the UACC has welcomed and comforted people of all walks of life, especially those who have felt abandoned by the church because of their personal identities. The UACC is a Progressive Catholic Jurisdiction, deeply rooted in the “American Old Catholic” Tradition.
