80-year-old-woman’s purse stolen at LIC Art Center

LONG ISLAND CITY – Police from the 108th Precinct were looking for a woman who allegedly stole an unattended purse from a table inside the LIC Art Center earlier this month. The suspect stole an 80-year-old woman’s purse July 13, at around 3:35 p.m., according to police. Among the items inside the purse were the victim’s credit card and $125 in cash.

The incident took place at 44-02 23rd Street in a building that is home to the Secret Theatre, the LIC School of Ballet and the Long Island City Academy of Music. Police describe the suspect as a white woman, 20 to 30 years old, last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white sneakers with pink shoelaces.
